Thanks to the latest version of
CoSign with SharePoint, that is. The popular digital signing solution that eliminates the reintroduction of paper into otherwise automated processes has recently been updated with some exciting enhancements. For example, users can now digitally sign InfoPath forms in their native formats with neither CoSign nor InfoPath installed on their machines. Talk about taking a load off those administrators, right? The update also includes improvements for signing PDF files in SharePoint that put extended capabilities in the users’ hands without requiring administrative support. It seems end users and admins alike will find plenty to fall in love with in this latest release. Read more about it here.

Digital Signatures a Key for Microsoft SharePoint
Friday, July 1st, 2011Microsoft SharePoint has become ubiquitous. I mean, who hasn’t heard of SharePoint? The multi-purpose document management platform is being used across industries for a whole host of workflow processes, such as project reports, staff claims, purchase requisitions, etc. And, as applications become more business-critical, processes – including those with legal implications – are finding their ways into SharePoint and creating the need for secure, legally-enforceable, and manageable automated signature capability.
Enter digital signatures for SharePoint – the tool that can enable SharePoint users to achieve fully electronic workflows through the approval stage. AIIM, the leading authority in document management and workflow automation, did a study called Digital Signatures for Document Management and SharePoint. As part of the study, AIIM asked 231 SharePoint users about their signature requirements within SharePoint. Here’s what they found:

Digital Signatures in AEC Expedite Processes & Improve Customer Service
Wednesday, May 18th, 2011The growing trend of digital signature adoption is becoming increasingly visible across industries, and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) is surely no exception. In fact, some AEC organizations are using digital signature technology combined with other business automation tools, like electronic document management systems, to enjoy exceptional operational improvements.
Take CPI, for example. The Danish inspection firm and engineering certification provider uses digital signatures with SharePoint to enable engineers to electronically authorize and deliver inspections and reports created at customer sites while they’re still on-site, seriously expediting processes. Taking this capability one step further, when engineers digitally sign their reports and upload them to SharePoint, the files are simultaneously published on the firm’s Customer Portal, where clients can easily access their documentation. Talk about superior customer service! The benefits
CPI has reaped from digital signatures go on – like savings of $90,000 in the first year of implementation alone. If you’re interested in learning what the others are, you can read the Digital Signatures Enhance SharePoint Deployment for CPI case study. Check it out!

Digital Signatures for SharePoint – Free Trial
Friday, January 7th, 2011I never understood why would anyone employ an electronic document management system that doesn’t have digital signature capability. Without it, users of such popular solutions as Microsoft SharePoint still have to print documents for authorization, which means routing (and routing fees), re-entering data, extended process times, and a slew of other costly and time-consuming inconveniences. Fortunately, with ARX’s free digital signatures with SharePoint trial, SharePoint users that are still in the dark about the many benefits of digital signatures can finally see the light.
The free SharePoint digital signatures trial allows users to digitally sign Microsoft Word and PDF files located in SharePoint Document Libraries, as well as SharePoint List Items. By eliminating the need to introduce paper into electronic processes
for obtaining signature approvals, SharePoint users can get a taste of truly paperless operations while maximizing the return on their investment in business automation, cutting costs, and improving collaboration and efficiency. Thanks to the free SharePoint digital signatures trial, all of these benefits and more are up for grabs at no cost or risk whatsoever. Now how about that.
Digitally Sign Away Your Printer Problems and Paper Jams
Friday, August 20th, 2010In a previous post entitled “Are you in on the digital signature 4-1-1?” I shared a first-of-its-kind research called Digital Signatures for Document Workflow and SharePoint. The study, conducted by AIIM (a leading authority in the field of document management and workflow automation), revolves around the uses and benefits of digital signatures as perceived by non-users and as experienced by actual digital signature users. One of the areas AIIM explored was: of all the documents you print out, how many are printed solely for the purpose of obtaining signature approvals?
Considering the documents that are printed out as part of your formal approval processes, what proportion would you say are printed for the purpose of adding one or more signatures? (N=290 non-users)
As you can see from the results above, in 42% of organizations without digital signature solutions, three-quarters or more of printed documents are printed only for adding signatures. Imagine what not needing to print these documents could mean for these and similar organizations and their business processes – considering the price of paper and of routing documents to the appropriate signers, and adding that to the amount of time it takes employees to fulfill this process – that’s a heavy handful that digital signatures can completely eliminate. Download the AIIM study for free and find out how organizations use digital signatures to avoid this type of problem, and enjoy added benefits along the way.
